The War of the Worlds (of which by the modern day there were actually two, the second one being fought between humans and the selenites in the 1960s and '70s) is pretty much the defining event of our alternate history and figures into the backstory of every single one of our books, including the ones that have nothing to do with the supernatural or superpowers.

I'm glad you enjoyed it and I very much appreciate you reading and commenting!

This was a fun story! I guess I should read the one before it, with Prometheus and co, because I was a little lost at first. It's a very interesting world with interesting worldbuilding, with the powers starting at the Martian War. I guess War of the Worlds had severe repercussions? (And in this world, a less lame ending?) The Copper Knight was a neat baddy, straight out of Fullmetal Alchemist. I also like the powers of Amp and the Atomic guy. Prometheus seems like the kind of walking McGuffin character you could write a million stories with. Graphic novel when? :-D
